Frequently Asked Questions
1. Can I cancel my reserved tickets?
Cancelling is not possible, but if you notify us no later than 12:00 noon on the day of your visit, by email or phone, we can convert your reservation into a digital credit. This allows you to visit Scala at a later time!

If you know you won't be able to make it, but it is past 12:00 noon on the day of your visit, please call us. We will try to see what the options are.
2. Do I have to reserve a table if I have booked tickets for the performance(s)?
No, if you have booked tickets for the performances, we automatically reserve a table for you and your group in our food bar.
3. Can I reserve a table in the food bar without visiting the theatre?
Certainly that is possible. Provided there is room, of course. On Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays you are welcome to just come in. On Fridays and Saturdays it is only possible to reserve a table in our food bar if you have tickets to a show.
4. Can I book a single performance?
In Scala we have noticed and heard that our visitors have the best experience with 2 or more performances per evening. That is why you can only book 2 or more performances, when you book online in advance. Do you want to come to Scala without a reservation? Then it is possible to visit just one show, provided that not all shows are sold out. We will check with you which performance you can attend.
5. Is Scala accessible to people with physical disabilities?
Yes. Despite the theater halls being located in the basement and accessible by a (steep) staircase, Scala is still accommodating to disabled guests. The theater rooms can also be reached through an alternative route via the parking garage, which features a ramp (no elevator). We have a wheelchair-accessible restroom and a threshold aid available. If you are visiting Scala in a wheelchair or have difficulty walking, please contact us in advance so we can arrange the most convenient route for your visit.
6. When can I reach Scala by telephone?
Monday & Tuesday | 10.30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Wednesday to Sunday | 10.30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
7. Can I bring my dog to Scala?
Unfortunately, we cannot allow dogs during the performances or in our food bar. Do you have an assistance dog? Contact us so we can see what is possible.
8. How can I pay at Scala?
Due to the safety of our staff, you can only pay by card in Scala. This can be done with a debit card or credit card.
9. Can I exchange a Podium Gift Card?
Unfortunately, Scala is not (yet) an acceptor of the Podium Gift Card. We do issue our own gift cards (available for every budget, more info here) and we accept the Surprise Factory Cheques.
10. I won't be able to make it on time for my booked show. Now what?
Come to Scala as soon as possible and we will check on the spot whether we still have room for the same show at a later time. Unfortunately, it is not possible to enter the theatre once the performance has started.
